Vintage Postage Stamp Quilt: Hand-Quilted; top is 1940s, quilting is 1960s; (66x81")

This is a very special Postage Stamp Quilt that comes with a hand-written provenance from the family of the quilter (see photos). The more than 7,000 tiny - less than an inch square - postage stamp squares were hand-stitched together in the 1940s, then the entire quilt was hand-quilted by a quilting group in the 1960s.

The back is a yellow cotton blend that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no condition issues noted.

The quilt is approximately 66 inches by 81 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Pictured on a queen-size bed.
