Antique Flock of Geese Quilt: 1880-1900; hand-quilted (75x77")

This lovely Flock of Geese Quilt is circa 1880-1900 has been painstakingly hand-quilted in outlines of the triangles, in tiny diamonds and in double diagonals.

The back is an off-white muslin that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is unsized and lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent condition with some age-related fading of the fabrics. See photos.

The quilt measures 75 inches by 77 inches and has been soaked, hand-washed and line-dried. It comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Shown on a queen-size bed.
