Vintage Bear Quilt: 1990s; handmade; hand-embroidered; hand-quilted; 67"x84"

Hand-embroidered and hand-quilted 1990s Bear Quilt, with embroidery around the bears and their accessories in each unique block. There are twelve unique bear blocks surrounded by a four-sided double border made of a solid black and a maroon print cotton fabric. The quilting is in outlines of the bear motifs, in diamonds in the body of the quilt and in perfectly straight lines and a twisted rope pattern along the border.

The back is a red, green and white striped cotton while the same fabric has been used for the binding that is machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no condition issues noted.

The quilt has been soaked, hand-washed and line dried and is clean and very soft. It measures approximately 67 inches by 84 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Pictured on a queen-size bed.
