Vintage Trip Around the World Quilt, 1940-1950s; hand-quilted; 80"x96"

This Trip Around the World Quilt is made from more than 2,000 scrappy patchwork squares in cascading pastel colors. The hand-quilting is in diagonal lines through the patchwork.

The back is mint green cotton that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The batting is light to medium weight.

It is in excellent condition with some fading of the fabrics on the left side of the quilt. See photos.

The quilt measures 80 inches by 96 inches and is clean, soft and from a smoke-free, pet free home. It is shown on a queen size bed.
