This beautiful old Charm Diamond Quilt was made in the 1880s or 1890s in a pattern not often seen today. It has been finely hand-quilted in a shell pattern in tiny stitches.
The back is an off-white muslin while the binding is pink cotton that was machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is unsized and very lightweight.
The quilt is in poor or cutter condition. The back has some tanning, but is intact, while the fabric loss on the quilt top is extensive and the binding is completely frayed. See photos.
The quilt is clean and soft and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It measures 70 inches by 79 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
