What makes this Flower Basket Quilt (circa 1930-1940s) especially charming is that each basket is filled with a unique appliqued flower. The hand-quilting is around the applique and is stitched in elegant tulip designs of different sizes in all of the white areas. The quilting is in diagonals around the four-sided border.
The back is white cotton that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent condition with no condition issues noted.
This lovely quilt has been soaked, hand-washed, line-dried and it is clean and soft. It measures 70 inches by 90 inches and is from a smoke-free, pet-free home. Shown on a queen bed.
