Someone did a beautiful job piecing this bright and lovely Lone Star or Star of Bethlehem Quilt, circa 1960s, with its sharp points and hundreds of diamonds in turquoise, red, peach and navy blue. The hand-quilting is in tiny stitches outlining the diamonds and in diagonal lines through the rest of the quilt. There is a red and turquoise border on the top and bottom of the quilt.
The back is a lovely blue-grey geometric cotton print while the binding is maroon red cotton that has been machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The batting is lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent condition with no condition issues noted.
It is clean, very soft and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It measures 68 inches by 76 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
