Antique Pink & White 1920s Hand of Friendship Quilt, Hand-Quilted, Signed, 74"x82"

This authentic Hands of Friendship Quilt, signed "Carol", dates to the 1920s and features a beautiful pink and white cotton color palette, a combination that was very popular in the 1920s. It is entirely hand quilted, with unique geometric/floral patterns in the open white spaces and a woven half-square pattern along the border. The quilting remains well defined and gives the quilt a soft, sculptural texture.

The back is white cotton while the binding is pink cotton that has been machine-stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is lightweight.

The quilt has aged gracefully and remains in excellent antique condition, with aged, light pink color transfer on parts of the front and back.
