This adorable mid-century elephant circus quilt features three sweet gray elephants joyfully balancing bright balloons beneath a circus tent. The elephants are appliquéd in soft gray cotton with floppy 3-D pink ears and vivid satin-stitched accents on their feet and sleeves. Butterflies float between them, while simple appliqué flowers line the bottom border.
It has been finely hand-quilted in a cross-hatch grid in the body of the quilt and in adorable, tiny elephants all along the border. A circle is quilted in each of the four corners.
The back is white cotton while the binding is yellow cotton that has been hand-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent vintage condition and has been freshly laundered, with no condition issues noted.
