This is a stunning vintage Lone Star quilt dating to the 1930s that has been beautifully pieced in a radiant eight-point star pattern using an array of cheerful Depression-era prints. It features classic feedsack and dress prints in vibrant florals, soft pastels, and striking geometric arrangements.
The central star bursts outward in carefully arranged diamonds of pink, lavender, aqua, and floral prints, set against a warm yellow ground, while there is a four-sided border with red roses and teal accents that frames the quilt. The hand-quilting is in outlines of the patchwork and in beautiful diamond grids.
The back is yellow cotton that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
