Vintage Modern 1990s Strip Quilt – Colorful Contemporary Patchwork – 64” x 76”

This colorful modern strip quilt, dating to the mid-to-late 1990s, is made of high-quality cotton fabrics in turquoise blue, bright red, yellow, lime green, pink, black, and gray. The contemporary design incorporates large floral prints, polka dots, script fabrics, small-scale florals, and geometric patterns arranged in a series of vertical rectangular blocks.

Each block is accented with narrow contrasting fabric strips, creating a distinctive geometric design with a mix of color and pattern. A narrow red inner border frames the patchwork, while a wide turquoise outer border completes the quilt.

The quilt has been expertly longarm quilted in an allover swirling pattern with extra curlicues. The back is a vibrant blue cotton print with multicolored floral accents while the same border fabric from the front has been machine stitched to the front and handstitched to the back to form the binding. The batting is lightweight and thin.

An embroidered label on the back reads “In Memory of Bill.”
