Antique Crazy Quilt Table Runner with Chintz Back: 1870-1890s; Cottagecore Decor (18.5 x37")

This very old Crazy Quilt Table Runner, circa 1870-1890s; is hand embroidered and incorporates a variety of fabrics including silks (many of which have shattered), old velvets, brocades and wools,

The back is a beautiful floral chintz fabric while the binding appears to be newer than the rest of the materials and is a tiny black floral cotton that has been hand-stitched to both sides.

As indicated above, this crazy quilt runner is showing its age. Most of the silk fabrics have shattered and some of the wools and brocades have holes that do not go through to the back. The chintz back is in excellent condition.
