This Goose Tracks Quilt is from the 1870s-1890s and has been hand-quilted in diagonals throughout the quilt.
The back is off-white muslin that has multiple old repairs (see photos) and the binding, an off-white cotton, has been machine stitched to both sides and appears newer than the rest of the quilt. The cotton batting is lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent antique condition with one tiny (1/8 inch) dark mark on the sashing, the repairs as mentioned above and minor yellow color transfer on the back (see photos).
The quilt has been soaked, hand-washed and line-dried and measures 63 inches by 80 inches. It comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Shown on a queen-size bed.
