This is a simple Nine-Patch Quilt, circa 1920s-1940s, with very complex hand-quilting. The tiny, hand-stitched quilting is in twisted rope and braided rope patterns.
The back is white cotton that has been turned to the front and made into the four-sided 9-inch border which also serves as the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent condition with no condition issues noted.
It has been soaked, hand-washed and line-dried and it is clean and soft. It measures approximately 68 inches by 80 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Pictured on a queen-size bed.
