Vintage Diamond in a Square Quilt: 1940s; Hand-quilted (77x79 inches)

This very bold Diamond in a Square Quilt, circa late 1930s-1940s, has beautiful and bright red sashing mixed with shirting prints and calicos punctuated by the turquoise/teal cornerstones and four-sided teal/turquoise border. It's a stunning quilt that has been hand-quilted in diagonals and repeating pyramid patterns.

The back is grey cotton while the binding is red cotton that has been machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no condition issues noted.

It is clean, soft and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It measures 77 inches by 79 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
