Vintage Center Diamond Medallion Quilt – 1970s– Exquisite Hand-Quilting | 80” x 82”

This beautiful vintage quilt dates to the 1970s–1980s and is a striking example of late 20th-century American hand quilting at a very high skill level. The quilt features a classic medallion layout with a central diamond framed by multiple wide borders, all in coordinated pastel solids.

What truly sets this quilt apart is the exceptional hand quilting. The center is a feather wreath with a star in the center, while the sashing and borders are all densely quilted in flowing feather motifs. The larger cream-white area is quilted in a crosshatch grid and there are more star motifs quilted at each corner. The density and consistency of the stitching reflect many hours of careful, experienced handwork.

The back is white cotton while the edge has been finished in a knife-edge finish rather than binding. The batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues found.
