This striking mid-century Endless Chain Quilt is a beautiful, flowing, curved design that was made during the 1940s–1950s. It is made from a rich mix of wool, rayon, and cotton fabrics, including plaids, tweeds, and solid red panels. The
Each curved piece has been hand-embroidered and the quilt has been hand-tied (rather than hand-quilted). The back is blue cotton flannel that has been hand-stitched to three sides to form the binding and pulled up more than 12 inches over the foot of the quilt to form a wide pocket at the bottom. See photos. The batting is medium weight - this is a warm quilt.
The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no condition issues noted.
