Vintage Nine-Patch Quilt – Signed & Dated – Hand Quilted and Hand-Pieced – 82” x 88”

This cheerful and beautifully executed vintage scrappy quilt is dated 1991 and signed “Judy H.” in red embroidery. It is entirely hand-quilted in outlines of the patchwork and - in the alternating blocks - in tiny, precise flowers. The four-sided border is expertly quilted in a braided-rope pattern.

The vibrant palette includes bubblegum pinks, sunny yellows, teal, aqua, soft lavender, apple green, red, and floral calicos. The back is yellow cotton while the binding is navy blue cotton that has been machine-stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with one small seam separation - see photos.
