This beautifully made quilt, circa early 2000s, is made of high-quality cottons features a series of detailed bird panels that include Black-capped Chickadees, Eastern Bluebirds and Cedar Waxwings, all framed in rich batik borders of golden yellow, amber, brown, and teal blue. Each square showcases a different bird perched among florals and scrolling vines.
The body of the quilt has been machine-stitched in outlines of the patchwork, while the machine quilting along the borders is in lovely floral vines.
The back includes a stitched dedication label reading: “Quilted with prayers for Warmth and Comfort from the quilting ministry River Ridge Covenant Church Olympia WA.” The back is a yellow and orange batik, while the binding mirrors the sashing and has been hand-stitched to both sides. The batting is lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent condition with no issues noted.
