This beautiful vintage Dancing Tulips Quilt dates to approximately the late 1940s to early 1950s and features a striking floral design of vibrant red tulips arranged in circular wreaths across a crisp white background. The quilt is entirely hand appliquéd and hand quilted in very tiny, expert stitching.
Six large dancing tulip motifs decorate the quilt top, each composed of bright red tulips radiating outward from soft mint green stems and leaves. Additional tulip buds appear between the wreaths and a four-sided graceful tulip vine border beautifully frames the edges. The hand-quilting in the body is in fine diagonal grid quilting, with crosshatch quilting along the border.
The back is white cotton as is the binding that has been machine-stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
Overall, the quilt presents beautifully and remains in excellent condition with no issues noted.
