Vintage Fence Row Quilt – Signed and Dated 1950 – Blue & White – 70” x 86”

This is a beautiful antique Fence Row Quilt, carefully hand pieced and hand quilted and signed and dated 1950 by the maker. The quilt is signed in embroidery:
“TO RFW FROM DDF – 1950”. It's made of a lovely combination of blue and white vintage cotton prints, including florals, small geometrics, and novelty fabrics typical of the late 1940s–early 1950s period.

It has a four sided border made up of a white stripe and a sky blue and white tiny geometric print stripe. The border is hand-quilted in unique geometric designs while the interior is hand-quilted in diamond and cross-hatch grids. The hand quilting is very fine, consistent and precise.

The back is white cotton that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

Condition: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
