Vintage 1940s Tumbling Blocks Quilt – Hand Quilted – Feedsack Fabrics – 64” x 78”

This charming vintage Tumbling Blocks Variation Quilt, also known as Baby Blocks, dates to the 1940s, showcasing a lively mix of feedsack and mid-century cotton prints. The quilt features a unique arrangement of colorful and repeating geometric tumbling blocks in fabrics that include cheerful florals, classic polka dots, and bright solids in red, yellow, blue, and green—set against a soft white ground.

The hand-quilting is outlines of the patchwork and in a geometric pattern of four tulips in the open white blocks. The backing is a sweet small-scale floral print consistent with 1940s feedsack textiles that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
