Bright and cheerful, this 1930s-1940s cotton crazy quilt is pieced from an assortment of vintage cotton scraps including feed sack/cotton florals, stripes, ginghams, and novelty prints in a soft pastel yellows, pinks, blues, and greens. The hand quilting is in an all-over diagonal grid, including along the four-sided floral border.
The back is a plain white muslin that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent condition with some all over age-related fading and a binding that is beginning to fray.
