This is a charming 1950s-1960s embroidered baby quilt made from a Bucilla quilt kit that has been hand-stitched in still-bright and vibrant embroidery. There are multiple pastoral/farm scenes including a horse pulling a hay wagon, a spotted cow, ducks, chickens, a pig, windmill, farmhouse, trees, fencing, and tiny floral motifs. The hand-quilting is in feathers and straight line grids, with the feathers framing the embroidery.
The back is white cotton while a bright red cotton has been hand-stitched to both sides to bind the scalloped edges.. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
CONDITION: The quilt has been laundered and line-dried and it is clean and sturdy. It is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
