Vintage 1950s Hand Pieced Pinwheel Baby Quilt – Blue & White – 30 x 33

This charming 1950s pinwheel quilt is made of deep indigo blues and crisp white fabrics with tiny - 3.5 inch - pieced pinwheels that have been entirely hand pieced and hand quilted. The quilt features a lovely assortment of coordinating 1940s blue cotton prints paired with soft ivory feedsack-style fabrics.

The hand-quilting is finely done in outlines of the patchwork and - along the four-sided border - in a diagonal grid. The back is a delicate small-scale blue geometric print while the binding is an tiny ivory print that has been hand-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is lightweight.

CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition.
