This delightful mid-century (1940s-1950s) child’s quilt features charming hand-appliquéd birds dressed in hats with hand-embroidered details, all framed by appliquéd flowering vines and a white border. The hand-quilting has been expertly accomplished with very detailed flowering vines and their leaves scaling up and down the white open areas of the quilt.
The back is white cotton and the quilt has been knife-edge finished with machine and hand-stitching. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
CONDITION: This little quilt has been soaked and hand-washed and is in excellent condition with some overall age-related fading (see photos).
