This is a cheerful vintage 1930s-1940s Pinwheel Quilt combining feedsack-era prints, tiny florals, ginghams, shirtings, and cheerful Depression-era colors framed on two sides by a black-and-white border. The hand quilting is in an all over double diagonal grid except along the border which is quilted in straight lines.
There are many classic late Depression and wartime-era prints throughout while the back is a vivid pink cotton that has been turned to the front and hand stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.
CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition and has been soaked and freshly hand washed and line-dried, giving a light natural sun-dried cotton scent (not artificially fragranced)
