This is a striking mid-century Feathered Star Quilt in a vivid red-and-white color palette with extraordinary hand quilted feather wreaths. Dating to the 1950s, this cheerful quilt combines graphic design with traditional craftsmanship. It features alternating Feather Star blocks and solid red squares, with feather wreaths quilted into each of the red blocks. The stars themselves are executed in rich red fabrics with pink-and-white print accents.

The back is white cotton while the binding is bright red cotton that has been machine stitched to the front and hand stitched to the back. The batting is lightweight.

CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition. It has been soaked and freshly hand-washed and line-dried, giving a light natural sun-dried cotton scent (not artificially fragranced).
