Antique Bread Basket Quilt: 1890-1910; hand-quilted 82"x88"

A beautifully constructed 1890-1910 Bread Basket Quilt with repeating shells hand-quilting in precise stitches.

The back is white cotton that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent condition with two small seam separations (see photos).

This beautiful quilt has been soaked, hand-washed and line-dried and it is clean and soft. It measures 82 inches by 888 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Shown on a queen-size bed.
