This striking red and white Thousand Triangles Quilt was made sometime in the 1940s using authentic feed sack cotton, with feed sack printing visible in a few of the white triangles (see photos). It was made with a classic red calico and the soft white feed sack, then hand-quilted in outlines of the 1,000+ triangles and in diamonds along the four-sided border.
The back is also white feed sack cotton while the calico from the front border has been turned to the back and hand-quilted to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight. .
The quilt is in excellent condition, with no condition issues noted.
The quilt is clean, very soft and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It measures 66 inches by 73 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
