Unique Lone Star Antique Quilt with Arrow Corners, 1890s; hand-quilted; 88" by 101"

This Lone Star Quilt, circa 1890s, is a rose and green beauty made even more unique by the six arrows emanating from the center of the star. The hand-quilting is in outlines of the patchwork and in double diagonals. The tiny stitches are even, neat and very straight.

The back is off-white muslin while the binding is a very thin white and brown cotton geometric pattern. The cotton batting is very lightweight and unsized.

The quilt is in excellent antique condition with a small amount of fabric loss to the rose/pink fabric at one corner and a fraying binding. There are also some small, light tan marks on the back that do not show or effect the front.

The quilt measures 88 inches by 101 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
