This striking vintage 1930s quilt features a rare Tête-à-Tête Quilt pattern arranged in a dramatic X-layout, pieced in vibrant red and crisp white cotton. Hand quilted in red thread throughout with exceptional care, the alternating white blocks are filled with elegant feathered wreaths, grids, hearts, and cable motifs—each block individually quilted by hand. The back is deep red cotton that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
