This small 1930s Mennonite Nine-Patch-on-Point Quilt comes from Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, and is made red and blue nine-patches on a green ground with a lavender sashing (not the darker purple as it appears in some photos) and a brown border. The hand-quilting is in black thread and in patterns of flowers, leaves, twisted ropes and geometric designs.

The back is gray cotton while the binding is brown cotton (like the border) that has been hand-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is lightweight.
