This is a one-of-a-kind and beautiful take on a Six Pointed Star Quilt that has been hand-appliqued, hand-embroidered and hand-quilted. It features a lively field of eight-pointed stars, each hand appliquéd and blanket stitched (embroidered) and accented by unique embellishments between each star. The quilt uses an exceptional mix of 1930s feedsack prints, chambrays, ginghams, and ticking stripes, featuring indigo blues, soft double pinks, and warm tan and khaki tones.
It is also finely hand quilted throughout with subtle stitched outlines and echo quilting. The back is a plain white cotton that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
