This beautiful antique Bow Tie quilt, dating to the 1930s–early 1940s, is a wonderful example of Depression-era American quilt-making. Entirely hand pieced and hand quilted, it showcases a wonderfully balanced mix of soft double pinks, pale blues, indigo shirtings, and fine geometric prints. The quilt has been finely hand-quilted in a diagonal grid throughout.
The back is a cream/off-white cotton while the four-sided tiny plaid border has been turned to the back and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
