Vintage Dresden Plate Crib-Size Quilt with Ice Cream Cone Border – 37.5” x 48.5”

This charming 1930s Dresden Plate Quilt is made from a delightful assortment of cotton prints in soft, cheerful colors. Sized for a crib or toddler bed, each Dresden Plate is composed of florals, geometrics, stripes, plaids, and novelty fabrics—set against a crisp white ground. The color palette includes sunny yellows, soft pinks, aqua blues, and greens.

The quilting is entirely hand stitched and hand-quilted, with the quilting in outlines of the patchwork, diamond grids and concentric circles. The back is plain white cotton as is the binding that has been hand-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is lightweight.

CONDITION: This little quilt has been soaked and hand-washed and is in excellent vintage condition with one small -1/8-inch dark mark in the middle of one of the Dresden Plates circles - see photos. There is also age-related fading to some of the fabrics.
