Sweet and cheerful, this vintage mid-century (1950s) baby quilt features a charming collection of hand embroidered nursery animals set within a bright red and white patchwork design. Each block is a different animal figure—bunny, puppy, kitten, duck, deer, and more—hand-stitched in colorful thread.
The hand-quilting is in outlines of the embroidered animals and in circles in the four corners of each white block. The red blocks are hand-quilted in diagonal grids.
The back is yellow cotton that has been turned to the front and machine-stitched to form the binding. The batting is lightweight.
The quilt has been freshly laundered and is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
