Vintage 1940s Child’s Appliqué Quilt with Blue Puppy & Pink Kitty – 40” x 55"

This charming 1940s child’s quilt features a playful blue puppy and pink kitten floating with colorful balloons across a softly quilted white ground. The color palette is pastel —baby blue, soft pink, and sunny yellow.

The appliqué work is beautifully executed, with expressive embroidered faces, delicate floral stitching, and other charming details. The puppy has floppy ears and the kitten has a playful pose, while the scalloped pink thin, embroidered border frames them both, finished with a soft blue outer border. The background features an allover hand-quilted scrolling motif.

The back is white cotton while this little quilt has been knife-edge finished in hand-stitching. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
