  • Details
This is a vibrant and beautifully executed Triple Irish Chain Quilt dating to the Depression era, created from a wide assortment of colorful scrap fabrics. Each chain block is filled with a lively mix of feedsack prints, florals, polka dots, and novelty fabrics in bright reds, greens, blues, and yellows typical of 1930s textiles, many with charming small-scale florals and graphic prints. The hand-quilting is in outlines of the patchwork.

The back is white cotton, as is the binding on two sides - the other two sides are knife-edge finished with hand-stitching. The cotton batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
