This beautiful patchwork quilt dates to the early 20th Century - 1900-1920s - and is made of a lively mix of reds, indigos, soft neutrals, and classic shirtings. The quilt is made from classic early 20th century scrappy fabrics, including: * Indigo and cadet blues * Turkey reds and double pinks * Black and gray prints * Classic shirtings and small geometrics * Softly aged neutrals
The hand quilting is in black and white thread in a diagonal grid across the quilt. The back is a light tan hand-woven cotton while the binding is black cotton that has been hand-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is lightweight.
CONDITION: The quilt is sturdy and in excellent antique condition with some light age toning to the back.
