This is a vibrant and beautifully detailed Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt dating to the 1930s Depression era and made in a rarely-found hexagon pattern.
This quilt is hand-pieced from hundreds of tiny hexagons and arranged into cheerful floral rosettes, all set against striking cheddar/orange pathwork. It uses a wide range of fabrics—florals, ginghams, dots, and novelty prints.
The back is white cotton while the binding is green cotton that has been machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
