This is a beautifully soft and cheerful Grandmother’s Flower Garden Quilt made with more than 2,500 hexagons, all hand-pieced and with hand quilting in outlines of each hexagon. The hexagons are pieced from a wide variety of 1930s feedsack and scrap cottons, including small geometrics and prints in pastel tones, with some earlier pieces mixed in. The overall effect is light, bright, and joyful.
The back is white cotton while the binding is purple/lavender cotton that has been hand-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is lightweight.
CONDITION: The quilt has been soaked, hand-washed and line dried and is clean, soft and sturdy. It is in excellent condition with no condition issues noted.
