Antique Feathered Star Quilt - Turkey Red & White Hand Quilted - 71" x 75"

This is a striking Turkey red and white Feathered Star Quilt from the early 20th century with an overall effect of a cheerful, graphic, and beautifully balanced quilt. The piecing is sharp and precise. It also has beautiful and intricate hand-quilting, especially along the border where there is stipple quilting in the form of a braided rope pattern.

The back is white cotton while the binding (which appears to be a much more recent replacement) is red cotton that has been machine-stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent antique condition with a more recent replacement binding.
