  • Details
This wonderful little antique baby quilt is from the late 19th century and is pieced from a collection of 2-inch chevron-shaped fabric scraps in rich browns, double pinks, chocolates, faded reds, shirtings, tiny florals, stripes, delicate calico prints, and dark brown prints with early turkey reds and muted cinnamon tones.

The quilt is machine quilted in sometimes wavering lines in outlines of the chevrons. The back is a soft pink floral that has been turned to the front and machine-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.

CONDITION: Excellent antique condition with some age-related fading of the fabrics, especially to the backing (which is also used for the binding). See photos.
