Vintage “E Pluribus Unum” Americana Wall Tapestry / Hanging – 27” x 35”

This is a handmade, folk-art Americana textile featuring an eagle motif, patriotic stars and shield, and the motto “E Pluribus Unum” (Out of Many, One). It is made of vibrant raspberry red, gold, navy, and cream tones and was made sometime in the 1970s. It has been hand-appliqued and entirely hand stitched.

The reverse features a coordinating printed backing fabric with vintage-style label and ephemera motifs and has been equipped with rings for hanging. The back has been lined much like a curtain with the bottom of the lining hemmed separately from the tapestry. See photos.
