Vintage Broken Sash Quilt | 1940s Hand Pieced & Hand Quilted Patchwork | 64" x 80"

This charming vintage Broken Sash Quilt is arranged in large diamond-shaped blocks of vintage prints and a palette of blues, pinks, greens, yellows, and creamy whites. There are florals, plaids, novelty designs and tiny geometric patterns, including kitchen and household motifs and floral feedsack fabrics.

The quilt has been entirely hand pieced and hand quilted with the quilting in repeating shell grids. The back is a soft cream cotton that has been turned to the front and hand stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.

CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition. It has been soaked, freshly cleaned and line-dried, giving a light natural sun-dried cotton scent (not artificially fragranced).
