Vintage 1930s–1940s Hand-Embroidered Baby Quilt | Hand-Tied | Nursery Animals & Toys | 44” x 52”

This sweet little quilt was likely made for warmth as well as decoration as it has unsized, medium weight cotton batting along with its lovely collection of hand-embroidered nursery animals, toys, and storybook figures, including kittens, puppies, rabbits, lambs, bears, ducks, and children at play.

The quilt is hand tied throughout with contrasting green ties, while the back is a beautiful pink novelty print of animals and toys. The quilt has been knife-edge finished and handstitched closed. The cotton batting is unsized and medium weight.

CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition. It has been soaked, freshly hand-washed and line-dried, giving it a light natural sun-dried cotton scent (not artificially fragranced).
