Vintage 1940s Pink Kitten Crib Quilt | Hand-Appliquéd & Hand Quilted Nursery Decor | 36” x 53”

This charming pink and white Kittie Crib Quilt dates to the 1940s and features five pink kittens playing on pussy willow branches, all created with hand appliqué, embroidered facial details, and embroidered accents that give each kitten its own personality.

It is hand quilted throughout with floral and leaf quilting patterns that copy the applique. The quilting continues through the wide pink sashing, also in a floral pattern. The back is white cotton while the quilt has been knife edge finished and handstitched closed. The cotton batting is lightweight.

CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition. The quilt is sturdy and the colors are bright. Please examine the photographs as they are an important part of the description.
The quilt has been soaked, freshly hand washed and line dried, giving it a light, natural, sun-dried cotton scent (not artificially fragranced).
