Vintage 1950s Floral Appliqué Diamond Quilt | Hand Quilted | Turquoise & Yellow Coverlet | 73” x 95”

This striking Floral Appliqué Quilt, circa 1950s, is a combination of brilliant turquoise blue and soft butter-yellow fabrics with twelve matching floral appliqué blocks embellished with hand embroidery and arranged in a diamond, on-point pattern.

Each appliqué block is a bouquet of satin-stitched flowers, embroidered stems and leaves, and small printed cotton floral fabrics. The quilt is lightly hand quilted with looping flower petals and leaves.

The back is white cotton while the turquoise border from the front has been turned to the back and handstitched to form the binding. This quilt/summer coverlet does not appear to have any batting.

CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition. It remains sturdy overall with bright, well-preserved colors. Please examine the photographs as they are an important part of the description.
