This striking and meticulously pieced mid-century Lone Star quilt is a true jewel. It features an extraordinary Lone Star composed of hundreds of tiny (1/2-inch by 1.5 inch) diamond pieces arranged in vivid jewel tones of raspberry pink, turquoise, lavender, pale blue, butter yellow, and deep plum against a soft olive-gray ground.
The workmanship on this piece is truly impressive - the diamonds are remarkably small and carefully matched while the quilting includes detailed feather motifs and feather wreaths. The back is navy blue cotton that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.
CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
